2021 startade relativt starkt med stigande b\u00f6rskurser. I USA lyckades demokraterna f\u00e5 majoritet i b\u00e5de representanthuset och senaten, den senare genom vicepresident Kamala Harris utslagsr\u00f6st. Marknaden tog emot beskedet positivt, sannolikt f\u00f6r att det \u00f6kar chanserna f\u00f6r finanspolitiska \u00e5tg\u00e4rder. Stormningen av Kapitolium i b\u00f6rjan av m\u00e5naden p\u00e5verkade inte marknaderna n\u00e4mnv\u00e4rt. Mot slutet av januari v\u00e4nde marknaderna ned\u00e5t. Bolagsrapporterna f\u00f6r fj\u00e4rde kvartalet medf\u00f6rde en del st\u00f6rre kursr\u00f6relser i enskilda bolag men generellt sett togs de emot v\u00e4l. Betydligt st\u00f6rre r\u00f6relser uppkom i samband med att r\u00f6ster p\u00e5 forumet Reddit\/WallStreetBets, med miljontals f\u00f6ljare, manade till k\u00f6p i de mest blankade aktierna p\u00e5 marknaden, bland annat den amerikanska spelbutikskedjan Gamestop som steg drygt 2600 % som mest. Kursrusningarna tvingade de stora institutioner som l\u00e5nat och s\u00e5lt aktier att t\u00e4cka sina positioner, en del med stora f\u00f6rluster som f\u00f6ljd.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
